Today's Conversation About Power is a special one, because I'm talking to my sister, Julie Coleman.

We're exploring a piece of our family history and how we relate to power, knowing what we do now. 

This story started off as a mystery. Every family has these kinds of mysteries  - things you wonder about and never get to the bottom of. Our mystery was about one of our great-grandmothers and where she came from.

Julie put her detective hat on and discovered a mass of information. Some of this information was unbelievable, in an exciting way. And some of it was abhorrent.
