Shirley is a delightful person to talk to. 

She can be light hearted and can talk about all kinds of things. 

It's so easy to talk to her, and THAT is pretty amazing, if you think about the start that she got in life, which was really, really tough. 

She's developed her own way of dealing with trauma, which isn't just about coping, isn't just about dealing, but it's also about overcoming and about enjoying life (which is why it's so important to her when she gets up in the morning to go and feed the birds and talk to the squirrels). 

It's the little things that make her life absolutely enjoyable. 

This is a really inspiring conversation. 

There's not many of us who've been through the things that Shirley has been through.

She's come out the other side, and she's a delight to be around. You're really going to enjoy listening to her.
